Prevent Damage to Your Xbox Games
Proper storage and maintenance of your games not only prevents scratching and extends the life the a game, but it also helps a game hold its value should you decide to resell.
The best way to keep your games running is to store them properly. Games should be kept either in their original case or, if you lack the space, tucked inside a disk holder. Then, the holder should be stored on a shelf. Make sure not to over pack the shelf, and to keep pressure off the disks. If you are storing your games in a disk holder, it’s best to keep the original case for resale.
If the cases get messy or there is residue from stickers, using a product like goo gone can easily clean them up.
Store Xbox Game Disks in Their Case
As for the actual disks, the best way to prevent scratches is to put them directly back into their holder when you take them out of the machine. However, if scratches do happen, get a soft cloth and wipe outwards from the center. If the scratches are persistent, take the disk to a resurfacing machine.
