Hi I'm Vincent Modica for About.com and today I'm going to show you how to connect your Xbox 360 through a wireless internet connection.
Xbox Live Requires an Internet Connection
Having an internet connection is essential if you want to get the most out of your Xbox 360. Xbox Live is where you can buy games, avatar items, downloadable content, videos, themes and more.
Connect According to Your Xbox Console
And if you already have WiFi, there's no reason to not set up a wireless connection. The first step to setting up a wireless connection on your Xbox is identifying the type of Xbox you have. If you have an Xbox that is not the Xbox 360-S you are going to need a separate wireless adapter. First you connect the adaptar to the USB port in the back. And then you snap the adapter into place in the slots on the back. If you have a newer Xbox 360-S model you can skip this step because the Xbox already has wireless built in.
Access the Xbox Settings to Connect Wirelessly
For the first step, go to the Settings tab on the dashboard and choose System. Then choose Network Connection. Find your wireless network and choose it. Then input your password.
