Hi I'm Vincent Modica for About.com and today I'm going to be showing you the in's and out's of customizing your Xbox 360 console.
Customize the Xbox 360 Dashboard
The Xbox 360 has features which are customizable once such item is the dashboard theme.
To change your theme start at the dashboard and choose the social tab. From there select your avatar. And then select change theme. Many themes are available through the Xbox Live Marketplace. While some are free most are not.
Customize the Xbox 360 Avatars
Another item which is customizable is your avatar. Once again start at the dashboard and choose the social tab. Select your avatar. After your avatar is selected choose customize avatar. From there you can completely change how your avatar looks. Everything from hair to height to shoes. You can also buy new clothes from the Avatar Marketplace or unlock clothes in certain games.
Customize the Xbox 360 Console
The last way to customize your Xbox is to swap out the faceplate. This is only available for pre 2010 360's. There are many faceplates to choose from.
