Hi, I'm Shane Murphy, your technology Guru for About.com. Today we'll review how to create your own calendar in Word 2010.

Instructions for Making a Calendar in Microsoft Word 2010

Start by clicking file then "New." Select "calendars" on the first row of the massive list of templates. You'll be given a number of options for which kind of calendar you'd like to create. Select what comes closest to your intent, and then peruse the huge number of options on display to find your favorite. You can even search Office.com for something specific if you don't like what you see.

It's important to note that many of the calendars you'll see were drafted by third party authors, and may contain viruses when you download them. When you find one you like, double click and Word will create a new document. From here you can modify the calendar to fit your needs, start filling in the fields, or just print it out.
