Transcript:How to Make Perfect Curls

Hello, I'm Kacie Marie and this is Are you sick of your curls falling right out just after you rolled them? I know hot rollers are messy, get your hair tangled and sometimes the curls don't even stay. I'm here today to show you a simple and easy way to curl your hair that will stay for hours.

Tools Needed to Make Perfect Curls

The tools you'll need are some hairspray, some bobby pins, you can get them for just a few bucks at any convenience story, a brush, and a curling iron.

Create the Curls

Now let's start the curls. After the curling iron is all heated up, you're going to grab a chunk of hair, just a few inches wide. I use the brush to help separate the pieces and smooth it out just a bit. You want to spritz it with hairspray. Next you take your curling iron and put it all the way on the inside and roll it all the way up. Each curl takes about 15 to 20 seconds. I like to feel the curl and when it's too hot to touch, that means it's done. After you have your ringlet, I like to give it just another spritz, just for some extra hold.

How to Make Curls Last

Here's the tip for the long lasting curls: You want to follow the curl exactly where it came from and just curl it right back up. You want to separate the bobby pin with one finger and one bobby pin should hold it. Now that it's pinned up, as you continue to curl the rest of your hair, each piece will continue to curl.

It takes about a half an hour to curl your whole head, depending on how long your hair is. I know a half hour sounds like a long time, but beauty is patience. You want to do it right the first time.

Unpin the Curls

Now that we're finished curling and pinning, it's time to take it all back out again. Here we are. Now just a reminder: the longer you keep the curls in those pins, the longer it's going to say and the curlier it's going to be.

What to Do With Your Curls

Now you have a few options. You can stay a Curly Q or you can brush it out and look like a starlet. Now when you go out, everyone is going to wonder where you got your hair done. For more information, go to Till next time!
