Transcript:How to Deal With a Bad Short Haircut

Hi, I'm Valerie Greenberg, entertainment and lifestyle journalist, and today I am here for About.com to tell you how to deal with a bad short haircut.

Reschedule Another Cut with Your Stylist

If you get home and you realize that you're not happy with your haircut, don't freak out. Pick up the phone and call your stylist in a very calm fashion and ask them if you can come back in so that they can take another look and fix the problem. If you're still not happy with the results, I suggest that you ask friends or go online to do some research to find a salon that might be able to rectify the situation.

Try to Get Creative with a New Style

If you get a recut and you're still not satisfied, don't get worried, get creative. There are a number of products out there that could help you develop a hairstyle that you never knew that you could rock. Turn the glass half full. While you're getting creative, make sure you never pick up the scissors and cut your own hair. That's just asking for disaster because you're not sure if you're going to do it evenly and you're not a professional. It's essential that a professional handles that. But, I definitely condone using all different products to try to create a new style for yourself.

Other Options for Fixing a Bad Short Hair Cut

Another viable option would be using extensions. All the celebrities do it and people that you see out and about use clip-ins all the time. There are plenty of salons that can actually dye clip-on extensions to your natural hair color and the great thing about these is that they do not damage your hair.

Most definitely check the internet because you can find testimonials and do research to find salons and the right stylist that can fix your haircut. There are plenty of How To websites that might be able to help you develop a style at home that you never knew that you could rock.

So, these are some very helpful ways to help you get through a bad short haircut and remember most importantly, always stay calm. If you were bold enough to get a short cut in the first place, it's all going to work out, and you're strong enough to get through it and make it work.
