Transcript:How to Change Your Bob Every Day of the Week
Hi I'm Andrea Cameron for About.com. Today I will show you 7 easy looks for your bob haircut that will give you a unique look each day of the week.
Style 1: Add a Headband
Style 1. Add a Headband. When using a headband, you may want to tease the hair at the crown for a little lift, it also will help the headband to stay in place better. Take the bottom ends of the headband and place them behind the ear and slowly slide the headband on top of the head. Fluff up the hair around the band to complete the look.
Style 2: Half Up Half Down
Style 2. Put your hair half up. Start with teasing the top front area. Smooth it out with a pick or a brush. Next twist it in the back. Take a bobby pin and wrap the outer part of the twisted hair inward to hold it in place. Now smooth out the rest of the hair that will remain down.
Style 3: Curl the Hair Under
Style 3. Curl the hair under. Start by clipping up the top half of the hair. Take a medium or a large round brush and start blow drying. Blow dry from root to ends while using the brush to curve it under. Drop down more hair and repeat this process. Continue until you are done with all of the hair.
Style 4: Flip Hair Up
Style 4. Flip up your bob. Clip up the top half of the hair. Start blow drying the hair under at the root with a large brush to create lift. Next flip the ends of the hair up. Continue to drop down hair repeating the previous step. If necessary use a curling iron at the ends to create an even more noticeable flip.
Style 5: Add a Barrette or Clip
Style 5. Add a barrette or clip. To add some simple flair to your bob use your favorite barrette and clip up one side of your finished blown out style. Simply twist the hair slightly on one side and clip it in.
Style 6: Curl Your Hair
Style 6. Curl the whole head. Start by parting the hair in the front. Using a comb curl the hair at the middle of the hair shaft with a curling iron. Continuously turn the hair around the iron, making your way to the root. Place the comb between the scalp and the hot iron to help avoid getting burned. Continue these steps around the head, changing direction so the curls don't all blend into one another. Finish with a little hairspray
Style 7: Sleek and Polished
Style 7. A sleek polished look. First clip up the top section of your hair. Starting in the back, blow dry the hair while using a large round brush to direct it under. Take a 2-inch section of hair down and repeat the blowdring process. When the hair is dry, use a flatiron to smooth it. Curve it under slightly as you get to the ends.
