Hi! I am Sarah Meyer Walsh, Owner of Haute Papier, and today I am going to show you how to make fans out of your wedding program.Supplies for Making a Wedding Program Fan
To start, you will need popsicle sticks or tongue depressors, preferably the larger ones, and a paper or wood glue; we are going to use a paper glue, and the printed pieces for your program. And you will need a front and a back, because you are going to glue them together and sandwich the tongue depressor in the middle.Instructions for Making a Wedding Program Fan
So let's get started. First, take your glue and apply glue to about the top-third of the tongue depressor, like so, and don't be stingy with the glue. You want to make sure that they are going to stick on.Then, you are going to center that onto the front of your program, like so, and give it a few minutes to dry. You can kind of hold it to keep it centered nicely.
Then, you are going to take your glue and glue around the border of the back and putting a little bit more glue on the tongue depressor.
Then, you are going to sandwich together the front and the back, applying gentle pressure to help the paper stick together and get that tongue depressor sandwiched in there, and just making minor modifications to properly center the paper so that the edges meet nicely, and making sure that your tongue depressor stays centered and straight.
Then you are going to give it just a few minutes to dry.
And that's how you make a wedding program fan.
