Hi Everyone! I'm Nicole Nassief from The Wedding League in Los Angeles, California, and I'm here today on behalf of About.com to talk to you about how to find your wedding style.

Finding Your Wedding Style

I love this question because this is something you have to find out in the very beginning process of planning your wedding. And I take my own clients through a 5-step quiz that will help them first to determine what type of couple you are, and then that will determine what type of wedding style you will have.

Categories of Wedding Style

Here at The Wedding League, we find that our couples typically fall into one of 4 categories, those categories being: Romantic couple that usually has a classy, elegant, think: candlelight type of a wedding; Life of the Party that they're going to have more of an upbeat, maybe lots of dancing type; a Traditional, which follows more of the cookie-cutter path, but still has a beautiful wedding; and then the Out of the Box couple that will have grand themes and surprises, definitely not something that you're going to find in your every day wedding. So with the questions that I'm going to walk you through, the answers correlate with the type of couple that you are so for example, if you answer all A's with all of my questions, you know that you're geared more towards the Romantic couple. Okay, are you ready? Go get your pen – we're going to walk you through the 5 different questions on how to find your couple style, which will then lead to your wedding style.

Okay the first question is: which famous couple do you most identify with?

• A) Romeo & Juliet
• B) Brad & Angelina Jolie
• C) Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver
• D) Bella and Edward from Twilight

The next question is: what is your ideal date night as a couple?

• A) A romantic candlelit dinner followed by a long walk on the beach as you're holding hands
• B) A fun, fabulous day at Disneyland
• C) Dinner at your favorite restaurant followed by a movie
• D) Skydiving

The third question is: where would be your favorite honeymoon spot?

• A) Paris, France
• B) Cabo San Lucas
• C) Hawaii
• D) African Safari

The fourth question is: if you two as a couple were a movie, what genre would it fall into?

• A) Romantic Comedy
• B) Action Adventure
• C) Drama
• D) Film Noir

And the last question is: if you as a couple were a sweet treat, which would it be?

• A) Chocolate-covered Strawberries
• B) Skittles
• C) A chocolate bar
• D) Bertie Botts Every Flavor Jelly Beans from Harry Potter

Wedding Style Answers

Perfect, so the last thing that you need to do is tally up all of your answers from the quiz. And there should be one letter that pops up the most and that will direct you to which couple style you are, and that will determine what wedding style you'll have. Now don't worry if a couple of different letters come up a lot, that's great, that means you can pick and chose a couple of different elements from the couple styles to create your perfect wedding.
