Hello, I'm Daniel Lazar and I will share with you some lines to follow for publishing your website. OK, you or your web designer just finished your website! So, what's next? You need to show it to the world!

Publish Your Website

Uploading your web page files on the internet is called publishing. For publishing your web page you need to have your own server or to rent a place on a web server.

Commonly called hosts, Web servers allow you to transfer and store files, including HTML documents, images and multimedia files.

Find a Domain for Your Website

Have you found a server to publish your files? Then you have become a proud owner of a domain; Server owner will send you a server address, username and password. After signing in using received data's, you can publish your site by putting all of the files of your project (html and multimedia) on the web server that will host your site.

Now, you can do this can either through FTP software, through your browser or by using your web domain specialized software.

Uploading Files for Your Website

Uploading files through your browser, usually Internet Explorer, you need to enter ftp://youradress.com and then to log in with your name and password. Then you can upload all needed files. Many html editors software have the ability to help you publish your pages without having technical knowledge to do this.

Using an built in of your web editor ftp publishing option, this may look like this, and you have to fill all required data. Ask your system administrator of that server for help in publishing your site because are a lot of technical information that you will need to know about your new web server.
