Hello, I'm Daniel Lazar and I will show you some basic steps for using Aptana Studio software. Aptana is an open source web applications builder which helps you to quickly and easily work using the industry's leading web application, IDE. Aptana Studio harnesses the flexibility of Eclipse and focuses it into a powerful web development engine. This software's target is professional Web Developers or XML Developers. Aptana has capabilities of building, editing, previewing and debugging HTML, CSS and JavaScript websites with PHP and Ruby on Rails web development.
Start Project in Aptana Studio
The first step of using Aptana is creating a new project. This can be done by choosing either "File/New," "File/New from template" or by clicking the "New" button, which is located below the "File." You can choose to start with a blank page or by using a template. Name it and start your project. Now, you should choose a theme to work with. Search through themes by clicking the "Themes" button found below the "Project" button. Choose one which you like.
Save and Preview Aptana Studio Projects
Now that you have the project started, you can unleash your creativity. While working, you should save your work. This can be done in "File/Save" or "File/Save as." Also, you may want to export your project. Exporting can be done by accessing "File/Export." If the project is saved, you can see how your project looks by switching from "editor mode" to "preview mode." This can be done by pressing the "Show Preview" button located below the "Search" button. See if you like what you have done; if not, change back to "editor mode" and modify the files and check again to see what changes were made.
