Hi, I'm Chris Davis for About.com. Controlling your sims in the game The Sims 2: Pets on the Playstation 2 is a lot of fun. But if you would like to make a few alterations, try these cheat codes.
Opening Cheat Gnome for Pet Cheats
The Sims have added a new piece to there game, pets. You can create, train and play with your new family member. Whether your a cat or dog person you will have a variety of breeds to choose from. Or you can even create your own.
As you play through, you may want to progress a little quicker. To enter cheat codes in this game, you will first need to activate the cheat gnome. You will do this by entering: L1, L1, R1, X, X, Up, during game play. The gnome is literally a small blue lawn gnome that will appear outside near where you entered the code. Once the cheat gnome is ready, try the following:
Cheats to Increase Money and Points in The Sims 2: Pets
To give Sim pet points, enter: Triangle, Circle, X, Square, L1, R1. You will see the change in the lower left hand corner of the screen. You may also want to increase your money. To add 10,000 Simoleons to your Sim, Enter: Triangle, Up, Left, Down, Right. Both of the codes can be activated in the cheat gnome repeatedly to keep your numbers up.
Cheats to Advance Time and Use the Pet Emporium
Using the pet emporium in the town square is useful, however, by entering: Right, Down, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Up. You will fully upgrade the emporium with all options.
If you are running out of patience and want to advance the time in 6 hour increments enter: Up, Left, Down, Right, R. This code can also be entered multiple times.
