Hi, I’m Nick and today for About.com I’m going to teach you some of the best cheats and codes for the game Oblivion on PC, with information provided by Jason Rybka, the Video Game Cheats Guide at About.com.

Entering Codes for Elder Scrolls IV

Oblivion is the fourth game in the Elder Scrolls series, released in 2006 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The game is set in the province of Cyrodiil, located on the Tamriel continent.  To make the game a whole lot easier, make sure you utilize the following cheats.

To enter a cheat, press the tilde key to enter ‘console’ mode.  From here, simply enter the code for the cheat you want.  For example, typing the code ‘tgm’ will enable God mode, which gives your character limitless health, magicka and fatigue – ideal if you’re fighting a tough enemy you just can’t beat!  Remember, you can turn God mode off again by re-entering the code.

In order to instantly level up your character, without requiring them to sleep, type the code advlevel.  Now you can choose the three skills you want to advance, as normal. 

Cheats for Character Traits and Skills in Elder Scrolls IV

If there’s a specific skill you want to enhance, enter the codedadvskill, followed by the specific skill and number of levels you want to improve it by.  For example, advskill blade 6 advances the blade skill by 6 levels.

To change the major and minor traits of your character, enter the code showclassmenu and then choose a new route that you’d like to follow.

Some codes require certain prefixs before the code can be entered.  For example, item cheats require the prefix player.additem, followed by the code and quantity of the item you desire.

Typing player.setlevel allows you to set the specific level you want your character to advance to, for example, by typing 200, your character will instantly reach that level.

To get your hands on all magic spells in the game, enter the code psb – you’ll find the spells in your inventory, although you need to make sure you have enough magicka to be able to use them!

Resurrect Cheat Code for Elder Scrolls IV

If you accidentally kill your horse and can’t live without it, type the code ‘resurrect’ and then the code of the animal you want to revive.  You can find the code of anything by clicking on the object you want, while in console mode.  This works for allies as well as enemies, so if there was a fight you wanted to relive, the resurrect code is the one you want!
