Hi, I'm Arthur Levine, Theme Parks Guide at About.com here at Epcot. Quick. What are your first thoughts when you think of Walt Disney World? Yo-hoing pirates? The spires of Cinderella castle? Mickey Mouse? The ginormous golf ball? How about delicious food? For many Disney World visitors, meals are often an afterthought—and that's a shame. There are some wonderful restaurants throughout the resort, and finding the right ones could help make your vacation more special and memorable. But with over 475 places to dine, it can be overwhelming. To help you plan your visit, let's explore some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney WorldDisney World Restaurants: Best of Epcot
At the Canada pavilion for example, you can find the popular Le Cellier Steakhouse. Savor beef dishes, such as Wild Mushroom Stuffed Filet Mingon, along with unique Great White North desserts like Maple Cream Brulee.Moving around Epcot’s World Showcase, the highly regarded Les Chefs de France offers traditional fare such as coc au vin in a more casual atmosphere than the somewhat stuffier--and more expensive--Bistro de Paris.
The Japan pavilion offers two fine dining choices. For lighter meals such as sushi, noodle dishes, and miso soup, there is the quick-service Yakitori House. At Teppan Edo, it's a dining-as-theater experience as chefs prepare meals tableside on built-in grills. Entrees, which are served with udon noodles and rice, include shrimp, chicken, and filet mignon.
It's Octoberfest year-round at Biergarten, a reasonably priced buffet with hearty German favorites such as schnitzel and potato dumplings as well as live music and, of course, steins of beer.
Epcot's Future World also has some great places to eat. At the Seas with Nemo and Friends, guests have a spectacular view of the pavilion's enormous aquarium in the Coral Reef Restaurant as they dine on seafood dishes like halibut, trout, and mahi mahi.
Inside The Land pavilion is one of Disney World's very best quick-service restaurants, the Sunshine Season Food Fair. The food court is loaded with sumptuous, adventurous choices, and many items feature produce grown in The Land's greenhouses.
