Hello I'm Kacie Marie and this is About.com and I'm going to show you today some simple steps on how to apply a fake scar.

Supplies for Creating a Fake Scar

There's many different ways to create a fake scar. Today I'm going to show you the simple and easy way that I do it, starting with, a fake scar (you can get this at any Halloween store of any shape and size you like), some liquid adhesive (there's all different kinds you can buy) and some Q-tips, you can also use a sponge or your finger, some liquid foundation (this is going to help blend in my scar just a little bit better with my skin) and some fake blood.

Process for Creating a Fake Scar

First step is to put the adhesive on the back of our scar. We're going to apply to our Q-tip or whatever you may be using, we're going to cover the entire back of the scar with adhesive.

You can put your scar wherever you want. I'm going to put my scar right on my face. You press it into your skin, put on a little more adhesive, smooth out the edges, make sure it's secured for the entire night.

Now I'm going to use my liquid concealer. This is going to help me blend my scar more smoothly into my skin. I'm going to blend this into my skin as you see fit. This helps hide the line a little bit, and the blood will also do that.

Tips for Applying the Blood to the Fake Scar

And now for the blood. You can put it on as thick as you like. However you like your blood.
