Transcript:Create Pictogram Excel Charts
Today I'll show you how to import images into an excel chart.
How to Add Images to Excel
Open Excel and I ll open a saved excel sheet with a chart. You can import an image into a chart anywhere you see a fill color. For example, I want to change the blue bars on my chart. Double click one of them. The format data series window opens. Here I will click on "fill effects" to put a 3-D effect on the bar. I'll click on fill effects and apply a vertical gradient. Click OK twice to apply the 3-D effect.
As good as this looks, I think I want to import an image for this bar. So I'll double click on it again to bring up the format window. Click on fill effects again and click the picture tab. Now I'll just click on select picture to find one from my computer. Click insert and OK twice.
Adjust the Picture
Now I have a picture that is stretched for each bar. That doesn't look very nice. I'll double click on the bar again and on fill effects. In the format section instead of stretch, let's click on stack and scale to and I'll type 5,000 units per picture. And now I have globes for one series of data.
