Transcript:Quick Tips: Fun French Toast Shapes
Everybody knows that kids love finger food, especially when it's cut into fun shapes. I'm Stephanie Gallagher for About.com, and today, I'll show you how to cut French toast into fun shapes for the kids.Cookie Cutters for French Toast Shapes
You can use whatever cookie cutters you happen to have on hand for these French toast shapes. My kids like hearts, so that's what I'm using. But seasonal cookie cutters are fun, too. These ghosts and pumpkin cookie cutters would be great for Halloween.Cooking French Toast Shapes
Lay the bread on a cutting board, and use the cookie cutters to make shapes. You can try to get two shapes out of each bread slice or just cut the shape in the center and fry the shape and the outline, too. Now cook the French toast just as you normally would, and serve with maple syrup or powdered sugar. Thanks for watching. For more great recipes just like this one, join us on the web at About.com.
