Transcript:Learn About Liquid Conversions
Hi I’m Michael Watkins with Reel Chord Media for About.com, and today we are going to talk to you about liquid conversions and measurements.
Teaspoon to Tablespoon Conversion
The first conversion I’ll be doing is teaspoon to tablespoon. Notice I have two measuring spoons here. Now, three teaspoons are equivalent to one tablespoon. I’ll demonstrate: one, two, three. Exactly one tablespoon, which is approximately the same as your regular silverware spoon.
Tablespoons to Fluid Ounce Conversions
One tablespoon is equal to half a fluid ounce. Two tablespoons are equal to one fluid ounce.Sixteen tablespoons is equal to one cup.
Cup and Pint Equivalents
Eight fluid ounces is equal to one cup. And two cups is equal to one pint. And remember, a measured teaspoon is always best for exact recipes. Serving spoons are only approximate measurements.
