Hi guys, Greyson Ferguson here with About.com. Today we are going to make tuna with a lemon caper sauce.
Ingredients for the Tuna With Lemon-Caper Sauce
- 1-1/4 pounds of tuna
- 3 diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of capers
- 2 tablespoons of lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 4 green onions
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- 1 garlic clove
- 12 olives
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
Make the Tuna With Lemon-Caper Sauce
Combine all of the ingredients (minus the tuna) in a mixing bowl and add in half of the olive oil. Pour the rest of the oil into a frying pan and set the heat onto high. Place the tuna filet into the pan and flip after two minutes. Let the other side cook for two minutes and remove from heat.
The tuna is not going to be cooked completely through so its alright if the tuna is still a little pink in the middle. This prevents the tuna from drying out. Add the mixed sauce over the top of a tuna filet and serve.
