Transcript:How to Make Pulled Pork Pizza

Hey guys, Greyson Ferguson here with About.com. Today, we are going to make a pulled pork BBQ pizza.

Pulled Pork Pizza Ingredients

To begin, you'll need:
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 pizza crust
  • 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup of pulled pork
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup of green peppers
  • 8 ounces of Monterey jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoon of blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of green onions

Make the Pulled Pork Pizza

Add the butter into a pan set on medium-low heat, toss in the onions and sauté until tender. Pour the BBQ sauce over the pizza crust and spread out with the bottom side of a spoon. You can find premade pizza crust at most super markets, some made of whole grain and other materials. As for the BBQ sauce, feel free to use any sauce of your liking. Add the pulled pork to the pizza crust, followed by the garlic, onions and green peppers. For a little added heat, you can use spicy jalapeno peppers instead. Add the cheese over top, then sprinkle on the blue cheese. The blue cheese is rather salty and is going to help bring out the flavors of the rest of the ingredients. Slide the pizza into a 500 degree oven for about 10 minutes. You know the pizza is done when the cheese begins to brown. Remove the pizza and serve.
