Hi, I'm Scott for About.com, today I'm going to show you how to make Easy Stove-Top Stuffing using a recipe from SouthernFood.About.com.
Ingredients for the Easy Stove-Top Stuffing
Before you get started, you'll need a few ingredients:
- 4 cups of toast, cut into small cubes
- 4 tablespoons of minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of poultry seasoning
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
- 2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1-1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
Season the Easy Stove-Top Stuffing
This is an incredibly fast recipe, made entirely on your stovetop. To get started, combine the spices in a large saucepan. Add the onion, sprinkle in the salt, add the poultry seasoning, now add the bouillon powder. Sprinkle in the parsley flakes. Pour in the broth. Now add the butter. Stir the mixture.
Cook the Easy Stove-Top Stuffing
Turn the stove to high. Bring to a boil. Cover the pan with a lid and allow it to boil for about 5 minutes. Now, reduce the heat to low. Add the bread. Stir the mixture well. Let the stuffing sit stand until the bread is warm and has absorbed the liquid.
