Transcript:How to Make Easy Chicken Parmesan

Hi, I'm Devita Jacobs for About.com and today I'm going to show you how to make an easy chicken Parmesan recipe.

For This Easy Chicken Parmesan Recipe, You'll Need:

  • 1 jar (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 6 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese,
  • 2 chicken breast halves
  • Spaghetti
  • 1-1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil

Be Sure to Cook the Chicken Thoroughly in a Skillet

Pre-heat the oven to 375°F. In a large skillet, add 2 tbsp of cooking oil and heat the skillet to medium heat. Add both chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides. Depending on the thickness of your chicken breast, each side could take up to 10 minutes to cook thoroughly.

Coat a Baking Dish with Tomato Sauce and Parmesan Cheese Before Baking

Coat the bottom of a glass baking dish with spaghetti sauce. Top the sauce with 4 Tbsp. of shredded Parmesan cheese. Add the cooked chicken breasts to the baking dish. Pour sauce over the chicken breasts to coat completely then cover with aluminum foil.

Bake for 15 min. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Next, add the uncooked spaghetti and cook according to the directions on the packaging. Avoid adding salt. During the last five minutes of baking, top chicken with remaining cheeses and bake uncovered or until mozzarella is melted. Remove spaghetti from heat and drain excess water. Serve chicken on top of spaghetti noodles.
