Transcript:How to Make Crockpot Honeyed Chicken Wings

Hi, I'm Stephanie Gallagher for About.com, and today, we're making crockpot honeyed chicken wings.

To Make Crockpot Honeyed Chicken Wings, You'll Need:

3 lbs. chicken wings - (they should be defrosted if they're frozen)
kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
1 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
2 Tbsp. ketchup

Trim the Chicken Wings Before Marinating and Slow Cooking

Cut off the wing tips - if you cut right at the joint it should come off pretty easily - okay, discard the wing tips. Then cut the chicken wings into two parts - the drummette and the flat. Now season the chicken wing pieces with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup and minced garlic. Stir until smooth.Place the chicken wings in the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over the wings, making sure to coat them evenly. Cover, and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3-4 hours. When they're done, the chicken wings will be golden brown. Serve immediately.
