Instructions for Making Chinese Crockpot Sweet and Sour Pork
To begin, you will want to remove any silver skin that is on the pork tenderloin. This is done by just gently placing the knife in under the skin. With the edge of the knife tilted slightly upwards, now pull back on the skin as you cut. Continue removing any other excess fat. Cut along the loin into about 1-inch length pieces, and then take each piece and cut it in half. Now add the pork to the crock-pot. Add the ginger, garlic, Mirin, soy sauce, oil, sesame oil, and brown sugar and lightly stir. Add the onions, carrots, pineapple, sweet bell peppers and stock.Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 6 to 7 hours. Now add the cornstarch with water, give a light stir and wait 5 to 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. (Turn temperature to high if you are cooking on low.)And here you go, Crock-Pot Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork.
