Transcript:How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu

Chicken Cordon Bleu Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices, thinly sliced Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices, thinly sliced lean ham
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup flour
  • Parchment paper

Preparing the Chicken Cordon Bleu

Slice chicken breasts in half. Wrap the chicken breasts in a large piece of parchment paper. Beat easily on both sides to make them thinner. Beat the eggs well and add a few spoons of milk. Mix them together. Oil the chicken breast with this mixture. Add pepper and salt, and then place a piece of ham and one of Swiss cheese. Roll it from the long side and pin it with toothpicks to keep the filling inside. Wrap parchment paper around it and put in the refrigerator for 1-1/2 hours.

Cooking the Chicken Cordon Bleu

When well-cooled, roll it through flour, egg mixture and breadcrumbs. Put olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add 2 of the cordon bleu. Roll over all 4 sides until they become brown (about 10 minutes). Do the same with all of the prepared cordon bleu. Add the fried cordon bleu to an oven preheated to 355 degrees. Leave there for about 15 minute. Serve with your preferred dipping sauce or vegetable garnish.
