Hi, my name is Krystyna Rittichier and I'm here for About.com. Today we're making Easy Chicken Divan Casserole, using a recipe from About.com's Southern Food site. This creamy casserole can be prepared in about an hour. When finished, the Easy Chicken Divan Casserole serves 6 to 8.

Ingredients for Easy Chicken Divan Casserole

For this recipe you will need:
  • 20 oz of Frozen Chopped Broccoli
  • 3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, halved
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Cup Potato Chips

Cook Broccoli and Chicken Breasts

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook the broccoli until it is tender, then set aside. Place the chicken breasts in a dutch oven. Cover with water, and add worchestershire sauce and garlic powder. Bring the pot to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 25 minutes. Drain the chicken and place on a cutting board.

Combine Ingredients and Bake

Lightly grease a 3-quart baking dish. Place the broccoli in the casserole dish. Chop the chicken into 1 inch pieces, and place these on top of the broccoli. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soup, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Pour this over the chicken and broccoli. Top with the chips and the cheese. Bake in the oven for 35 to 45 minutes, or when the top has browned. The casserole can be served immediately.
