Transcript:How to Earn Extra Money as a Single ParentHi, I'm Devita Jacobs and today I'm going to discuss a few ways you can earn extra money as a single parent.
Sell Unused Children's Items to Earn Extra MoneyAs a single parent, time is one of your most valuable resources. For example, selling used children's items online. Baby gear, clothes, and toys in good condition are all viable commodities to sell online and your children can participate in the selection and sorting process. If you don’t have any old items to sell, visit a thrift store to search their inventory for like new baby and children's items. You can earn the largest profit on items that are new or like new by selling them at a small discount off the retail price.
Earn Money from Home by Providing a Service or Becoming a FreelancerIf you love working with children, becoming a tutor is a great way to earn extra money. Have other children come to your home for tutoring lessons after work and charge their parents a small fee. Inform your child’s teacher of your plans and post notices in the public library to solicit business.
Freelance writing is another way to earn extra money. Consider contributing articles to a newsletter or website that offers revenue sharing opportunities for new writers. When your children are asleep, you can take this opportunity to generate content for your freelance writing.
