Hi I'm Bonnie Zaiss for About.com. Adding text, titles, quotes and poems can complete the story of your scrapbooking composition. You can write them by hand or use your computer.Download Free Fonts for Scrapbooking
Your word-processing program enables you to use different fonts or typefaces that enhance the mood of your scrapbooking page. There are lots of free fonts available on the web. Go to About.com for a list of free font links at this address: http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/fonts/Fonts.htm.Some of these links are specifically designed for scrapbookers. We found this cool Ale & Wenches font. Just follow the instructions on the website and download them to your hard drive.
Check your computer's instruction manual to find out where your fonts are stored or use your help function on your computer. Some software programs require you to reboot before your font will show up.

We opened up a photo manipulation program and typed out this fun text box for our Cousins page. Then we printed out the text box on colored construction paper and cropped them to size.Don't be afraid to add a little texture to your text when pasting it down to your page.Be sure to use elaborate fonts in moderation. Elaborate fonts can work well with short bold titles. Choose easy to ready text for lengthier compositions. Remember a little bit goes a long way.
