Start with several sheets of blank printer paper for your doll project. Though many people use white printer paper to create their dolls, you can also use colored paper for the doll’s outfits to eliminate the need to color each accessory by hand. Print the paper doll design of your choice onto your colored paper.Reserve the white sheets for the doll and the colored sheets for the accessories. If the paper doll pieces are all on one sheet, simply print the doll on each sheet of paper to complete your project. Color the paper doll using colored pencils. Stick to a soft color palette so that you can see the detailing in the paper doll’s face and body.

Cut out each piece from the colored sheets of paper and set aside. Be careful not to cut off the tabs as these are needed to attach each accessory to the doll.
