Transcript:San Diego Outlet Malls

Outlet malls have become famous for not only offering bargains galore, but they also deliver the ultimate shopping experience. There are five San Diego area outlet malls that offer both. Let's start with the most modest and work our way up to the most extravagant, so you can pace yourself…and your wallet.

San Diego Outlet Malls: The San Diego Factory Outlet Center

The most humble of San Diego's outlets also was the first: The San Diego Factory Outlet Center. Now featuring only six stores – (Anna's Linens, Carter's Children's Wear, NineWest, OshKosh, Rocky Mountain Chocolate and Sunglass Hut) – this outlet still offers 20 to 30% savings.

San Diego Outlet Malls: Lake Elsinore Outlets

Next up is the Lake Elsinore Outlets. Less than an hour north of San Diego, it ups the store variety to 75 and delivers reoccurring events, sales, and promotions. Every Friday, there is even a Certified Farmer's Market, so you can get your grocery shopping done at the same time.

San Diego Outlet Malls: Carlsbad Premium Outlets

For something a little more upscale, the Carlsbad Premium Outlets has a selection of over 90 stores as well as a variety of activities and promotions for the entire family. If you don't share a love of shopping, you can escape to the nearby Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, Legoland, and the San Diego Zoo.

San Diego Outlet Malls: Las Americas

Also in the Premium Outlet family is Las Americas. This luxurious outlet, with Latin-inspired architecture, is one of the country’s newest outlet centers. Located practically across the street from the San Diego Factory Outlet Center, Las Americas is definitely the bigger draw, with 125 outlet stores, including Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, and J. Crew. Las Americas also offers seasonal events and promotions, such as a summer music series.

San Diego Outlet Malls: Viejas Outlets

If all that wasn't enough, we went ahead and saved the best for last. This is a shopper's dream come to life, so grab your keys and your blue-blockers and let's hit the road. The award-winning Viejas Outlets is not just an outlet mall. Located across from Viejas Casino, the outlets are a Native-American-themed shopping experience that includes bowling, mini-golf, and ice skating in the winter as well as a selection of dining options. Known for its relaxing garden ambience, the Viejas Outlets are sure to please even the most experienced fashionista and committed shopaholic.

San Diego might be known for attractions like Sea World, but it is also a whale of a great time and ideal destination for shoppers who appreciate the thrill of deep discounts on the best name-brand merchandise.
