Avoid Overeating When Running for Weight Loss

Consider the following: First and foremost, don't overcompensate for calories burned by eating too much. While you may feel hungrier as you begin your running routine, keep in mind that you have to burn more calories than you consume for weight loss to occur. This doesn't mean that you should starve yourself, but it does mean that portion control and healthy food choices are crucial in helping you meet your goals.

Along the same lines, don't eat the wrong foods. Instead, opt for a diet of lean meats, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Striving for the right balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals will keep you on the path to healthy weight loss.

Avoid an Irregular Schedule When Running for Weight Loss

One of the biggest setbacks in running for weight loss is running on on an irregular schedule. It's necessary to get physical activity each day, so going for a run one day a week simply won't cut it.
