Transcript:How to Rap With Ice-T: Sample Rap
I was writing a rhyme the other day. What did I say?
Rap by Ice-T
I said, 6 foot tall. 280 in the belt. 215 with the M16. Burn . One syllbaul, Ice. More whips than the passion of Christ. Beats hard get with it or ready to fall off. Ya'll soft. I axe murder with the words in the mental. I'm 200 flat out in the continental red linin in the black diamond of frames. Full length furs, white minks and cufflinks. I apologize for previous homicides I guess I don't know my strength. I dropped the piggy on his head and broke the bank. Administrative segregation with the 12 inch shank. If you don't know I'm the time forgot. Shoot up and keep me locked in a box. Ice, I capitalized all my "T's" love from the to all the and g's my boys squeeze heat like MW3. Ski mask and sweaters, blacked out ferettos.
Basic Tips for Rapping
So you wanna kind of keep the flow. Keep the words entertaining. Say things people are familiar with. I seen you light up when I said "MW3" so keep it flavorful and that's good rap. If it's really good it doesn't need the beat. You feel the beat in the lyrics, you feel the pause in the lyrics. And, uh, it should be fun. That was meant to be fun. That was more of a free stylish rhyme. It's not free styling because it's not coming off the head, but you can write something that's serious about an issue. You can write something… there's a lot of ways to use the artform.
