Beginner Rappers: How to Start
What are some tips you'd give to beginners trying to find their rap style?
Tips for Beginner Rappers
Well, in the movie, you'll see me ask that question. And I always say orginality. I'm like, look and see what everybody else is doing and try not to do that. Uhm, you won't get that original star by your name you know, you'll'll say "oh you're similar to this person, oh you're similar to that person." And then really work on your skills. Look at the artist that you really like and try to be better than them. You know, take your time.
You know, in the movie we talk about a lot of peoople think you rap off the head, but most of the great rappers sit down and write it out and try to complicate it. They try to make it really entertaining and different. So I would say just try to be different than everybody else. That would be the first thing and then take it from there.
