Transcript:How to Apply Fake Eyelashes
Hi! My name is Ana Crane Simpson and I'm with Applied Cosmetic Services for About.com. Today I'm going to show you how to apply your own false eyelashes.Supplies Needed to Apply Fake Eyelashes
You will need:- false eyelashes
- surgical glue
- small pair of scissors
- a toothpick
- a pair of tweezers
Prepare Your Eyelashes
So the first step, curl your eyelashes. Next, you're going to apply your mascara on the top and bottom. You're going to let that dry.Trim the Fake Eyelashes to Size
In the meantime, take out your eyelashes. You're going to use your scissors, and you are going to cut the eyelashes in small sections that you can grab with your tweezers.Apply the Fake Eyelashes
You're going to take your toothpick, dip it into the glue and run it along the seam of the eyelash back and forth until you get a small white line. Next you're going to push it into the seam above the lash line, press it firmly into place and then you're going to go back and grab the next section.Repeat the glue, with the toothpick. You're going to press it making sure it does not overlap the other piece of false eyelash. You're going to continue the process until you are satisfied with the extension on your lashes. Next you are going to move to the other eye. Use your tweezers and repeat the same process.
Camouflage the Fake Eyelashes
Once you have completed both eyes, and the glue has dried transparent, you are then going to take an eyeliner and reapply it to the bash of the lash line to camouflage the base of the seam. And that's how you apply false eyelashes.
