Hi, I'm Yasmin de Joya-Pagal - and I'm Abby Gemino - with Forevery Occasion from Surrey, British Columbia, for About.com. In this video, you will learn five fun baby shower games.  These games are fairly inexpensive and fun for all to join!

Baby Shower Games: Guess Mom's Tummy Size

The first game is called "Guess Mom's Tummy Size". This is a classic baby shower favorite! You will need some yarn or string and a pair of scissors. Have each guest cut a length of string they think will wrap around the Mommy-to-be's belly. After everyone's had a turn, Mommy-to-be measures and cuts a string that actually fits around her belly. Compare her string to the pieces of string from each guest. The person who is closest wins.

Baby Shower Games: Dirty Diapers

The second game is called "Dirty Diapers". This is another fun guessing game. Pictures of guests playing this game are priceless! You will need chocolate bars, diapers, a black marker, paper and pens. You will need the same number of diapers that you have chocolate bars. Number the front of each diaper and make sure you make a master list of which chocolate bar is in which numbered diaper. Put the chocolate in the microwave or in a bowl of hot water until it is soft enough to mash in the diaper so its shape is no longer distinct. You can use a half or a whole chocolate bar. Give each guest a pen and paper to write down their guesses. Pass the diapers around and have the guests smell the diapers to guess what chocolate bar is in each diaper. The person with the most correct guesses wins!

Baby Shower Games: Baby Food Surprise

Our third game is "Baby Food Surprise". You will need jars of baby food, scissors, colored paper, a black marker, tape, popsicle sticks, paper and pens. Cover each jar of baby food with the colored paper and number them. Make sure you make a master list of the number that coincides with the baby food. Give each guest a pen and paper to write down their guesses. Give each guest enough popsicle sticks to sample each jar of food. Have the guests record their baby food flavor guesses on a piece of paper. The person with the most correct guesses wins!

Baby Shower Games: Diaper Relay

Game #4 is called, "Diaper Relay". This is especially fun to play at a baby shower with male guests. You will need balloons, safety pins and receiving blankets. First, guests will have to blow up a balloon. Next, they will use use the receiving blanket and safety pins to diaper the balloon without popping it. If you pop your balloon, you are disqualified. The first diapered balloon wins!

Baby Shower Games: Safety Pins in a Jar

Our fifth and last game is called "Safety Pins in a Jar". It's as simple as it sounds. Fill a jar with safety pins. Guests will guess the number of safety pins that are in the jar. The closest guess without going over wins a prize!
