The ethics questions on the PMA National Certification exam go over professional conduct for the Pilates instructor: how they start a Pilates session, how their conduct is during the session as well as how they're ending the session, also, specific tactile queuing in the touch category -- ways of touching that are inappropriate and can be a criminal offense, some can be a civil offense. Every state varies differently by laws, but there are specific guidelines that the PMA has established that is specific -- teaching tactile queuing to improve exercise performance for the client.
