Writer/Director Zack Snyder and Producer Deborah Snyder - Sucker Punch

A female action film, was it more difficult than doing the guys?

Zack Snyder: "You know, it's different, you know? It's not as sweaty, maybe. I know that sounds weird, but it's just less sweaty."

Deborah Snyder: "Women look better when they're training."

Zack Snyder: "So there's that part. So when you come up to your actor and you're like, 'Look, that was awesome,' and you're like, 'Ohhh.' [wiping off the sweat] Anyway, because that happens. Or, with the girls, you can still be like that and it's not as gross. For a director, that's a big deal. I know it doesn't sound like much."

That sounds like some people's Gerard Butler fantasy.

Zack Snyder: "I love Gerry, but there's a line there. I do have a line."

So are you putting him in Superman?

Zack Snyder: "Who's that?"

Gerry.

Zack Snyder: Oh, no one knows anything. No, I can't say."

Put him in there for us and have him take his shirt off again.

Zack Snyder: "Put him in there for us... I'm trying to write that Xerxes sequel... I'm trying to write that 300 sequel so you'll get some Gerry action probably."

Where are you at in your Superman process?

Zack Snyder: "Well, we're knee deep in it or I guess neck deep in it actually because it is a giant movie and it's crazy. It's great fun; it's great to work on. I love the characters so it's not like work, but, on the other hand, there's a lot I wish I could tell you how huge it is. It's awesome."

Is it more daunting to work on Superman as opposed to Watchmen with its possessive and passionate fan base?

Zack Snyder: "You know, it's different. It's different. Watchmen made my brain hurt every day, and this makes my brain and then sort of like my action freak out mind go like, 'This could be crazy.'"

Why is Henry Cavill the right guy?

Zack Snyder: "You know what Henry is? I'll tell you, the reason Henry's the right guy is because even though Henry's a man, he's a big guy, tough, cool-looking, handsome I'd guess you'd say, but he has that kindness in his eyes that makes you believe that he cares."

You want to go there with him.

Zack Snyder: "Well that's not what I was going to say but..."

Will there be a Lois Lane?

Zack Snyder: "I can't say."
