Ashton Kutcher ('Jack Fuller')
Ashton Kutcher: "You never really know until you've screened it in front of an audience. The truth is is that the people who go to the movies, they're the ones that tell you whether or not it's funny. You never know up until that. When I was doing the '70s Show, we had like a live audience all the time, so you have like an imaginary laugh track going on in your head. But you never know until you go see the movie. We'll find out tonight whether or not it works."
What's happening with your TV series Pop Fiction?
Ashton Kutcher: "Well I decided that if the press was going to do press based on question marks, that I was going to test their resolve for doing press on question marks. And that was the basic inspiration for the show. We'll see. It might work, it might not."
Dennis Farina ('Banger')
What's the appeal of doing a romantic comedy with Ashton and Cameron?
Dennis Farina: "Oh it was great. The script was funny. I liked it from the minute I read it. They were involved – Ashton and [Cameron] were involved. I think the director's a talented guy. It was a very nice set and I had a lot of fun."
Are you normally a romantic comedy type of guy? Is that what you see when you go to a theater?
Dennis Farina: "Are you talking about me, personally? Oh, I don't know…"
You don't go for the chick flicks that often?
Dennis Farina: "Well one of my favorite movies is In Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz. I love that movie. And besides that I'm a big Toni Collette fan."
And you play Cameron Diaz' boss in this. Were you the mean boss, nice boss…?
Dennis Farina: "I thought I was pretty nice. I thought I was all right."
Michelle Krusiec ('Chong')
Tell me who you play and who you got to work with most of the time.
Michelle Krusiec: "I play Cameron's arch nemesis and so my job in the film was to try to outdo her, so I worked with her mostly."
Are you really evil?
Michelle Krusiec: "Yes, I'm evil and uptight and really pent up emotionally, which is actually pathetically true sometimes. But in the film, she's a great character. Ultracompetitive, just trying to outdo her competition. Cameron gets to be a fabulous girl and I have to try and knock her down."
There's a lot of physical comedy in this. Did they make your character go through any of that?
Michelle Krusiec: "There is a really fun bicycle polo match, which apparently is a real sport which I didn't know about. It's really tough to play. But we did this thing where we had this match and it was pretty challenging because Cameron's pretty athletic and I'm pretty athletic and competitive, but it was a tough sport to learn. We learned it like on the day."
What's up next for you?
Michelle Krusiec: "I'm on Dirty Sexy Money right now. I play the minister's wife, another uptight character. So we're going to see what's going to happen with that character."
