Nicole Weaver - 'Nicole' in The Virginity Hit

Tell me about being the female lead in The Virginity Hit.

Nicole Weaver: "Oh man, it was surreal. It still is surreal. This is the biggest thing I've ever done and I have the female lead, and it's all really a big shock. And I'm still shocked, and I don't think I'll ever be done being shocked until like years from now probably. This is amazing."

There are so many guys in this, how do you make sure that they don't take advantage of you?

Nicole Weaver: "You know, I have had all guy friends my whole life. I've had like one girl friend that has stuck with me, but most of my friends have been largely guys. And it's interesting because I've been in theater my whole life, so it's amazing. The town that I was in had a lot of guys that were interested in theater, so I'm just used to it. I'm used to being friends with guys and not taking any of their crap, and just holding my own."

A lot of this was improvised so how wild and crazy did it get?

Nicole Weaver: "Sometimes it got ridiculous. A lot of it was improv but a lot of it also was just cameras following us around wherever we went. A lot of the time we were partying. I mean, I wasn't partying - I was watching the party so it didn't get crazy for me."

I like that disclaimer.

Nicole Weaver: "Yeah. I mean, I'm not a big partier but I like to watch people party, and it got very funny. The situations that the boys got themselves into with girls and with the pool, it was anything you thought it would be - like a college party would turn out to be happened."

There's been a lot of movies about losing your virginity so what sets this one apart?

Nicole Weaver: "This one's different because it's really a story about these two kids who were in love, and they're really trying to make it special. You know, it's not just like, 'Let's get it on.' It's like, 'We want to make this really special.' They were together for two years in the movie before they decide to finally do something about it. So it's different because of the depth of the characters that are really and truly in love with each other before they want to go that step. It's not just trying to do the deed, it's about the feelings behind that. And you find that in the end of the movie, too."

Krysta Rodriguez - 'Krysta' in The Virginity Hit

Tell me about your role. I want to know everything you do in The Virginity Hit.

Krysta Rodriguez: "Okay. I am the older sister of Zack [played by Zack Pearlman] and Matt [played by Matt Bennett]. I'm Matt's adopted sister and Zack's biological sister. I'm away at college and I come home to try and help them in their time of need. In some ways I fail miserably and in other ways I think I help."

Have you ever had to do this mentoring before of somebody in this position?

Krysta Rodriguez: "I'm not sure in this exact position, but I tend to feel like I like nurturing and mothering people in some ways. I like to guide them and help them not make the mistakes that I made."

You guys were doing so much ad-libbing in this.

Krysta Rodriguez: "Yeah, it's almost all improvisation."

Are you good at ad-libbing?

Krysta Rodriguez: "You know, before this improvisation made me break out in hives. I was not about it. But it was so comfortable and there was no pressure to be funny."

Because you're supposed to be real.

Krysta Rodriguez: "We were supposed to be real. It's not like when you're in an improv class and you're hoping everyone's laughing. This was just giving and receiving and kind of reverberating off of each other, which is exciting. It's really an exciting place to be in when you don't know what's going to happen."

The Virginity Hit is not the only movie there's ever been about losing your virginity, so why is it different?

Krysta Rodriguez: "It's different because it's much more touching and loving than people would expect. The moral comes out pretty strong and from unexpected places. We go through a lot of crazy scenarios to get to the end, and you learn along the way. I think it's very touching and sweet."
