Rumer Willis - 'Ellie' in Sorority Row

I hear that you have the world's best scream.

Rumer Willis: "You know, I've been told. I guess people have to come check out the movie and see what they think."

Is it true that you actually did some research on screamers and past people in movies that have screamed?

Rumer Willis: "I mean we definitely watched... I think we watched Scream and a couple of those other things, but really it just came about on set. We were rehearsing the first scene and I screamed and kind of looked at the girls and went, 'Wow, where did that come from?'. But it ended up working very well."

You've starred in two movies with women, a big group of women, costars. How refreshing is that to be able to do that and not have to be the girlfriend?

Rumer Willis: "It was so great. And honestly it was really one of the things that drew me to the script the majority of the time in horror films you see all the men coming and saving the day. So I thought it was really great that it was a female-driven cast, but not only that, that it was very character-driven. You really get to know each of the girls and how they're dealing with this terrible situation."

I hear it described as not only a horror movie, but that it's got a lot of comedy. Did you like that?

Rumer Willis: "Yes. And another thing, you know our writers did such a fantastic job of kind of recreating the Sorority Row, like the language and things like that, and it's honestly so funny. I watched it with all the girls and we really had no idea that that much comedy would have come through."

So while you were filming it, you didn't get that?

Rumer Willis: "I mean, you do get it at some points but not to that extent by any means."

And how are you at handling a gun?

Rumer Willis: "You know what? I think I handled it pretty well. I would love to be able to do more with it. But I had a great time doing that. That's so much fun, yeah."

Matt O'Leary - 'Garrett' in Sorority Row

Matt O'Leary: "Oh man was it an interesting time. I went into it not really understanding how they were going to go about it. My role is extremely specific. It sets the feel for the film. I really wanted to do it right. I wanted to give like a perfect blend of nice, good-humored fun to it all, but also make it extremely realistic. The whole process of it was actually very interesting. I was kind of alone and just kind of doing my own thing while I was out in Pittsburgh. All the girls were so nice and so friendly, so that really made things a lot more comfortable than what I thought it was going to be like. But it was fun. We had a lot of fun on set. I got to really do what I love. I love doing this so much. The role...it really felt good to stretch my wings and do something that's not so cliche. It's fun."

It sounds like if you would have screwed up it would have blown the whole movie.

Matt O'Leary: "The way that I'm putting it, yeah."

Does it require a lot of action from you?

Matt O'Leary: "No, actually I didn't have to do too much craziness. Actually, there's a little bit in there but I don't want to give anything away."

And you've also got Mother's Day, right?

Matt O'Leary: "Yeah, Mother's Day's coming up. That was exciting. I didn't know that that was coming up. Just recently I found out so I'm really excited. I've been doing a lot of work on it myself. I'm actually flying out tomorrow up to Winnipeg."

Can you say what you're playing in that? Are you allowed to talk about it at all?

Matt O'Leary: "I play the youngest of a few brothers. It's interesting. It's fun. I can't say too much yet, but it's great. It's an awesome film that I'm really excited to do. It's something I've been kind of feigning for as an actor being in LA, and it just kind of fell. Luckily, I went in, I auditioned and I got a different role than I auditioned for. So I kind of consider that luckily falling into my lap in a time of need. I'm really happy. I'm really happy with it, as well as this project. It's just good to do two things that you're having fun with."
