Why are we going back and re-looking at the original story, revamping it, and using a different actor for the same character?

Andrew Form: "That's what we've done with all the remakes from Chainsaw, Amityville, and Friday the 13th. We've always gone back to the original and rebooted the franchise with all new people. So it was a natural thing for us to do."

Was this one, more than the others, one that you heard a little bit more backlash about getting rid of the original actor? Or was it about the same?

Brad Fuller: "We get a lot of backlash on all of our movies. We're used to that. That happens a lot."

Andrew Form: "I mean, honestly, when it started with Texas Chainsaw eight years ago I don't know if we could ever top the backlash that that movie had."

But you've got Jackie Earle Haley, and everybody loves Jackie. What does he bring to this character?

Brad Fuller: "Well I think that Jackie wanted to create a whole new Freddy Krueger. He didn't want to continue what Robert [Englund] had done. He respected what Robert did, and thought about the way that he would portray that very same character. So he's made it his own."

Andrew Form: "In a big way."

And you guys took another chance on another guy who directs music videos. What is it about those directors that appeals to you?

Brad Fuller: "We're just a glutton for punishment."

First-time directors going into feature films, and you snag them up.

Brad Fuller: "Can I tell you something? We're comfortable using guys who have great visual style, and Sam [Bayer] actually had the best visual style out of anyone we worked with."

Derek [Mears] was just here and all he could talk about was doing Friday the 13th 2, and he's just waiting for you guys to tell him when.

Andrew Form: "We're waiting for him to tell us when."

You don't say no to Derek.

Andrew Form: "Honestly. He might know before us. We're all excited to call each other and say we're going back to Crystal Lake."

Does it depend on how this one performs?

Brad Fuller: "I'm sure if this movie performs it helps our cause."

But Friday the 13th performed really well.

Brad Fuller: "Yes, it did."

Why wasn't it a natural to do a 2?

Brad Fuller: "Well, I think that also a sequel to Friday the 13th in 3-D is a much more expensive proposition, and that's not an easy decision to make."

And it has to be in 3-D?

Brad Fuller: "Well, yeah. The movie was written as a 3-D movie."

Andrew Form: "It was. It was conceived as a 3-D movie."

I need to know what's happening on the Ouija movie. What's happening on that?

Andrew Form: "We're waiting for a screenplay. The writers are writing and as soon as they turn it in, hopefully we'll be making the movie."

I heard it's more action than horror?

Andrew Form: "It is. It's like an action-adventure movie."

With a Ouija board?

Andrew Form: "Yes."

I can't see it because Ouija boards freak me out.

Andrew Form: "It's freaky."

Brad Fuller: "You'll see it. It's good. It'll be great."
