Chaske Spencer – 'Sam Uley' in The Twilight Saga: New Moon

You're looking wonderful. You're actually in clothing.

Chaske Spencer: "I am in clothing, thank God. It would have been a different story if I'd have come here shirtless."

No more of that...

Chaske Spencer: "No more. You get enough on the screen."

We get a lot on the screen and, boy, you guys look pretty hot in that - even though it was freezing on set, right?

Chaske Spencer: "It was. It was really cold sometimes. We just had to huddle together sometimes and just keep the body warmth going."

How tough is it to play a pack?

Chaske Spencer: "It's not that tough at all. The casting was perfect. We get along. We're like brothers. It wasn't that hard to get along with these guys. The chemistry is there."

Is it tough when you guys are new to the franchise?

Chaske Spencer: "No, I don't think it was tough. The Twilight cast, the vampires I guess you want to call them, are very open and welcomed us with open arms. It wasn't that tough at all."

What was Chris [Weitz] like as a director because I hear he's really calm?

Chaske Spencer: "He's one of the coolest guys. I mean, he's just like Shaft cool, like super cool, Cool Hand Luke Paul Newman. I really like working with him. I'd work with him again in a heartbeat. He's got a good family, good heart. He's a good man."

So you have a scene where you're facing off with Bella, where you have to get all pissed at Bella, what's it like doing that - a scene where you have to get in [Kristen Stewart's] face?

Chaske Spencer: "She has a mean right hook. She kicked the crap out of me. And it was pretty rough sometimes because I think we did the take like 15 times. The bruise went so deep I could barely do a push up the next day in training. It hurt."

You guys had to stay in fantastic shape for this. Was that tough?

Chaske Spencer: "It's very tough. It's a lot of discipline. I'm not a discipline kind of guy."

The tattoos, are you guys really going to get those because I know at the press junket you were considering it?

Chaske Spencer: "Yes. We still are. We're still considering it. We'll see what we can get away with. We have to wait until the franchise is over. It' s hell on make-up artists when we get tattoos. I've got a few tats, have to sit in the make-up chair a little longer to get them covered up."

What do you think about people being out here for five days?

Chaske Spencer: "I think it's amazing. I think it's really cool and a lot of support, shows a lot of love."

Is there anything in your life you would stayed on the street for five days for? These guys have your sign over here.

Chaske Spencer: "I'm a big fan of...I saw Guns 'n Roses and Metallica when I was a kid at the Seattle Kingdome. I was there, I stayed up, I waited for the tickets - it was really cool."

So you would do something like this?

Chaske Spencer: "I would, I would."

Did you come out here and visit these guys?

Chaske Spencer: "Actually you can't because it can get dangerous, so I drove by and waved. That was pretty much it."

So Eclipse, we're going to see more of you guys?

Chaske Spencer: "I can't give too much away about Eclipse."

And your wolf, do you like how he looks?

Chaske Spencer: "Yes, I do. The CGI was great."
