Cameron Bright – 'Alec' in The Twilight Saga: New Moon
You have a power in this that's very hard to portray, so how do you do that? It's all in your mind.
Cameron Bright: "Then I just use my mind. I just let it go. No, it's not too bad. Oh my god it's Robert Pattinson!"
Is that what it's like everywhere you go?
Cameron Bright: "Sometimes. I mean, it's kind of funny. All these people when we were rolling up here in the cars, they're like, 'Roll down the window! Roll down the window!' I was like, 'Watch, I'm going to roll down the window and they'll be like, 'Oh, it's just him.' No, I rolled down the window and they went kind of crazy and that was all right. But you know I mean it's amazing. I can't explain what's happening here. The world is here right now. Like we had people from Australia were in the line-up, just everywhere. It's really cool."
Is there anything in your life you would have stayed on the streets for five days to wait for?
Cameron Bright: "No. I think it's crazy. But they supported us so me and Kiowa [Gordon] went out there and we signed autographs. We had to go out there and support them like they supported us, so that's what we did."
Why do people love this? What is it about Twilight that gets this kind of reaction?
Cameron Bright: "I have no idea, man. I'm guessing it's like a fantasy but it's a reality as well, and everybody can relate to it. Like I've got my friends' moms that are reading it. All they say is, 'Oh, it reminds me of when I was a child.' Everybody can relate to it and it brings them somewhere."
But they always say these are for women, but this one's got some action in it, right?
Cameron Bright: "Oh yeah. I haven't seen it yet and I'm excited to see it."
Are you?
Cameron Bright: "Trust me, I like guy movies. My favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan. So you know I can't wait to see it. The Volturis part and the wolfpack, it's going to be amazing. It's definitely going to be a blockbuster and a guys movie."
Are you ready for if they do Breaking Dawn for your part to be greatly expanded?
Cameron Bright: "Oh yeah. I can't wait to play around. We've just got to wait for Breaking Dawn to happen. We've just got to wait and see what happens."
You know it's going to happen.
Cameron Bright: "Who knows? If they don't make it, I think there will be an uprising in the world, and there will be something going on."
