Chris Bridges - 'Jim Bravura' in Max Payne
Tell me about this guy that you're playing. You're playing a police chief?
Chris Bridges: "Yeah, I'm an Internal Affairs agent Mr. Jim Bravura so of course while Max Payne is giving everybody else a hard time, I get to give him a hard time. So I'm on his case the whole movie as the story unveils. And what it is is just one of those dominant roles, and of course I love playing those dominant roles."
You've got all these action movies under your belt now with RocknRolla and stuff coming up. How much fun is it just to go out there and do balls-out action?
Chris Bridges: "It is a lot of fun. Honestly speaking, when I started off acting about four years ago, I never would have imagined that it would have gone to the heights that it is now. I'm very blessed for people to accept me, and I will continue moving along making everybody proud. It's just about making the right choices and just strategic moves. I have a strong team so I'm very happy about that."
Did you play the game before you got the part?
Chris Bridges: "I used to play the game a little bit, you know what I mean? I didn't play it as much as I wanted to because of course I was still very busy and on the road. But I definitely love the game and I'm telling you right now the movie is even better. Trust."
How does it go above the game?
Chris Bridges: "It goes above it. Well, it's loosely based on the game but it takes the whole storyline and takes the characters to a whole other dimension so… That's all I can tell you so far."
So is it like a noir? Is it a crime thriller? What is it?
Chris Bridges: "October 17th. You'll have to see for yourself."
