Rebecca Murray from About.com Hollywood Movies at the American Premiere of Land of the Lost.
Michael Papajohn from Land of the Lost
Tell me about working on this.Michael Papajohn: "I was on the set with Will Ferrell and when I walked on the set I remember I was doing CGI on the other side of the side, and Will Ferrell was riding a 70 foot dinosaur and hitting it like a rodeo star on the butt. It's pretty funny. I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing because I was watching him ride the dinosaur."
Did you like the original series?
Michael Papajohn: "I could lie and say, 'Oh, I loved the original series.' I didn't really know much about the original series until I got the part, and then I started watching them. I had the chance to meet Marty Krofft on the set, but it was really cool. But it was actually the neatest set. When I walked on the Universal lot and walked in the sound stage, I couldn't believe it was actually a sound stage. It was really, really cool. It went on and on and on and on."
And you're also doing another TV show besides True Blood.
Michael Papajohn: "Yes, I am. I just did Dark Blue."
[Some Twitter talk which doesn't need transcribing]
"You know, whenever you walk on a set, even if I showed up and did a guest star for a week, you feel the energies and the cast and the crew. That's going to be a really cool show. It was a lot of fun also, too."
Are you done with your True Blood gig?
Michael Papajohn: "I can't say."
You're not done filming?
Michael Papajohn: "I'm done, but I'm still around maybe. […]You know on True Blood I left my car in the cemetery for four days. I lost my keys on the set. I think it was those vampires, man. I mean they didn't kill me but they took my car keys. I had to get my car towed from the cemetery five days later."
That's something you'll never forget about True Blood.
Michael Papajohn: "Well, I sent my wife to the cemetery with a 14 month old baby and my mother-in-law, so they never let me forget it while I was out of town."
Besides all the movies that you're doing, including Transformers, what are you really looking forward to the most this summer?
Michael Papajohn: "You know what? I'm really looking forward to just being here tonight. That's what I'm really trying to… It's an opportunity. This is really the most exciting time. I've been in the business 20 years. It's the most exciting time where I have really four big movies come out in a 60 day period, and now I have a baby and my wife and I can get to share it with my family. So I'm really trying to be present every day and go, 'Man, this is really exciting.'"
