Kristin Bauer van Straten - True Blood
Pam's going through hell right now. What's going to happen to Pam this season?Kristin Bauer: "Oh well, in 8 days we're going to find out but for two episodes she's been off-camera being tortured. And when we get back to her it's going to get a little worse and then a little worse and then a little worse before it gets better."
We get to see you more onscreen, right, because Pam's one of my favorite characters.
Kristin Bauer: "I think Pam is, even if I weren't playing her she's just so amazing. She's an incredible character and what you get to see the rest of the season which was so fun was a lot of relationship with Eric [played by Alexander Skarsgard]. Her loyalty, her integrity, her vulnerability, we're going to see all of that."
Is it fun getting into those costumes?
Kristin Bauer: "Well it is now that you [said] I look good and I did it right."
You do.
Kristin Bauer: "Yeah, it is. Going to the wardrobe fitting is like Christmas. You're opening the box. 'Is it going to be awesome? Is it going to be pretty good?' Wait until you see Pam's pjs this year. Ridiculous."
Charlaine Harris - Author of the Sookie Stackhouse Books
I've read all the books.Charlaine Harris: "Oh, that's great. Thank you."
I always look at the TV show and remind myself I've got to remember it's an alternate universe using the same characters. Is that how you look at it?
Charlaine Harris: "Yeah. It is. It's a separate entertainment experience and I've enjoyed both of them a lot. It's not necessary to dislike one to like the other, you know?"
Have you questioned anything they've done with them because sometimes they change things that change a book further down the line?
Charlaine Harris: "Well obviously Alan's hired talented writers and they have their own vision as writers do of the same material. So I enjoy seeing where they go with the basic blueprint."
