Josh Hutcherson ('Sean')
You guys carry the whole film. You're in it the whole time. That's a lot of weight on your shoulders. How did that feel?
Josh Hutcherson: "It was great. You know, I love it when a movie kind of depends on performances like that. I like being able to kind of I'm a clutch actor. I like to act under pressure, so it was good. It really helped out a lot."
And a lot of stunts That must have been crazy hard for you to get physically ready for this.
Josh Hutcherson: "It was so much fun. I mean, I think I've been preparing for that for the last 15 years of my life because I'm always You can never find me inside. I'm always outdoors exploring, down in creeks, dirt biking, playing sports, so it definitely kind of helped me a lot being active."
Yeah, but that didn't prepare you for wirework, wearing harnesses and everything else, right?
Josh Hutcherson: "No. Nothing could ever prepare me for this movie. This movie had so many stunts and so many special effects. It was a lot to deal with day in and day out running, jumping, diving, screaming, yelling, being chased by dinosaurs. It was something that was definitely something like I'd never done before so it was really fun. Really great experience."
Working with greenscreen, is it hard for you as an actor to actually picture them there working with you?
Josh Hutcherson: "It is. It's weird having to imagine that just by this greenscreen behind you with a tennis ball that it's a giant dinosaur and you have to be screaming for your life, but Eric, great director, gave us an idea of what it was going to look like afterwards to kind of help us out with that."
And plus you had Brendan Fraser there with you who's done so many massive films.
Josh Hutcherson: "Exactly."
Did he help you out?
Josh Hutcherson: "Totally. I mean, just his energy he brings to the set definitely just elevates the whole level of everything."
Why should people see this film?
Josh Hutcherson: "Because it's nothing like they've ever seen before. It's the new way of technology and the new way of filmmaking."
