Oliver Jackson-Cohen - 'Damon' in Going the Distance

Tell me about working on this.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "It was awful."

I want to know everything.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "I hated it."

Every single minute of it?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Every single was just painful."

Was it the people that you worked with?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "I think it was everyone. Drew Barrymore... No, amazing, amazing, amazing experience. I was so, so lucky to be a part of this. I admired so many... I mean I admired Nanette [Burstein] from American Teen and all of that, and she's just a genius. And then Christina [Applegate] and Drew, how can you sort of not, you know?"

And you get to improv, right?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "And we get to improv, and that's what was so brilliant is that Nanette sort of brought something that was so real to it. She sort of let the camera, but we sort of stayed with the script and then we'd do like a freebie. We did whatever we wanted."

And you didn't have to censor your language because this is an R-rated movie.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "No, that's very, very true. I don't think my character would swear though. I think he's so ridiculous."

Why is he ridiculous? Tell people who haven't seen the movie why.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Because he's just so gratuitous and ridiculous. He's ridiculous. He's the nicest, sort of... Yeah, he's unreal."

So he's you?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "No, he's not me at all! It was a joy to play him."

And you've got Faster next.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Yes, I've got Faster."

Which is totally different.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Completely, completely different. I play a hitman trying to kill The Rock, and it's incredible."

You're trying to kill The Rock?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Trying to kill The Rock and Billy Bob Thornton."

You're a bad-ass.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "I know. I'm a villain. It was amazing."

Do you have cool action scenes?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "I do, yes. Lots of training - 12 weeks of training."

Doing what?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "Martial arts and yoga and car training and gun training. I mean I'm like this little English bloke, right, from London."

Not little.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen: "No, not little. Quite tall. But had no idea what I was doing. They were like, 'Yeah, we want you to come to LA and shoot it, and the shoot is in about five months.' I had no idea what I was getting myself into. And then this movie - there I am. So go and see it, it's out on Thanksgiving. And go and see this one first because this is very funny."

Jimmy Fallon - Host of the 2010 Emmys

So tell me, what's the most important thing you have to keep in mind when you're hosting the show?

Jimmy Fallon: "Keep it moving, realize it's not about you - it's about the nominees. And just get in and get out."

What happens if you flub up - how do you cover?

Jimmy Fallon: "Yeah, it's a live show - I could screw up."

But you're not going to.

Jimmy Fallon: "But if I do it will probably make the blooper reel when they release that, and it could be a good moment."

Why did you agree to it? It's got to be nerve-wracking.

Jimmy Fallon: "It's fun. I love TV. I think it's been a great year for TV with all the new shows like Modern Family, Parks and Rec and Glee and all the shows that are going away like Law & Order and Lost. So it's a really interesting year for television. I'm psyched that they asked me to do it and I think it's going to be fun."

After preparing for it is it something you'd do again?

Jimmy Fallon: "Absolutely, yeah. They've been great to us. Any idea we came up with they want to help and make better, so I'm really looking forward."
