Valentine's Day Soundtrack Artist - Jewel

Tell me about your song in Valentine's Day.

Jewel: "I wrote 'Stay Here Forever.' I didn't write it for the movie, actually. I wrote 'Stay Here Forever' this summer. I wrote it for my husband. It's basically about when you're in love with somebody going on adventures is fun, but sometimes staying home is the most fun."

That's totally true. When you saw the film, how did your song get incorporated into it? Do you think they put it in the right spot?

Jewel: "Yeah. It's going to be the lead single for the soundtrack. It's going to radio now, and they play it at the end of the movie so I'm excited about it."

Do you like doing songs for soundtracks?

Jewel: "I love it. I just really love to be a part of anything creative, with a great director. It was a really great movie to be a part of."

Well you act – how come you're not in this movie? Everybody else is.

Jewel: "It was jam-packed."

Are you a sucker for romantic comedies?

Jewel: "I like a good one."

What really draws you in?

Jewel: "I think everybody wants to feel that romance is well and alive, and that meant aren't total jerks – which they aren't."

Tell me about the song you have in this.

Meghan Linsey: "Actually the song we have in the movie is called 'Keep on Loving You.' It's our first single. We were actually on a show this summer on CMT called Can You Duet and we won the show. We picked this song just before the finale, we picked this song to be our next single. And it's number 18 on the Country chart right now."

Did you ever expect that?

Meghan Linsey: "No, not at all, especially being on a reality show. You never know. It's been great."

Are you guys suckers for romantic comedies?

Meghan Linsey: "I am. I drag him to them."

Kicking and screaming?

Joshua Scott Jones: "Sometimes. It's not too bad. I'm excited to see the film. It's going to be great."

Meghan Linsey: "It's going to be awesome. We have a song in the movie – of course we want to see it!"

Joshua Scott Jones: "Hopefully we get to stay long enough to catch that part where our song's in. We've got to catch an overnight flight out to the East Coast."

Meghan Linsey: "We'll see."

You'll just have to see it on Friday when it comes out with the rest of us.

Meghan Linsey: "That will be our Valentine's Day."

What are you guys working on right now?

Meghan Linsey: "We actually just got finished with our record in studio. We actually have a five song EP that will be out February 23rd. We just got nominated for an ACM award – top new duo. Vote acm.com. That's about it."

Joshua Scott Jones: "You can follow us on steelmagnolia11 on Twitter."

Meghan Linsey: "Our Twitters are fun."

Joshua Scott Jones: "It's usually me. She doesn't do as much."

Meghan Linsey: "I forget to tweet too. I make him tweet for me."
