Jeffrey Dean Morgan – 'Clay' in The Losers
I want to know about the training you did for this, because they put you through hell.Jeffrey Dean Morgan: "Yeah. The difference between this and other stuff I've done recently was how much we had to train together as a unit – the tactical training – so on film it kind of translated to look like we'd been together for a hundred years and we knew what the other person was thinking without having to talk to them. It was that kind of thing. A lot of just being able to communicate with your eyes or hand signals and do the rest stuff so if the Armed Forces are watching us, they won't look at us and giggle and go, 'What a bunch of pussies.' So it was about trying to get all that right, and we took that pretty serious."
Are you now qualified after having done all this training to legally go out there and…
Jeffrey Dean Morgan: "And kill people? I don't know if I'm legally qualified but I know some tricks, that's for sure. Our guy that taught us, a guy named Harry Humphries, was just this brilliant, sweet guy who knows everything there is to know about this stuff. He taught us a lot and I think I could maybe kill you with one finger."
And your director said you've already talked about Losers 2 with him, that you talked even before you started filming this one.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan: "We went into this one hoping this does okay. It's set up for us to do a sequel as long as people go see it. I sure hope we get a chance to do another one."
Columbus Short – 'Pooch' in The Losers
Everybody's saying there is going to be a Losers 2. Where do you want it to go?Columbus Short: "Everywhere. I just want to travel on a jet with all these guys and shoot in cool places."
Do you want to go back to 110 degree weather with mosquitoes and everything?
Columbus Short: "No. We need like a middle of the road, like Costa Rica. Hear that, Joel [Silver]? Tell him I said that. It would be amazing."
Do you think your character goes anywhere different in the second one?
Columbus Short: "He does. I know the volumes. It's going to get interesting."
